A complete profile includes a few different elements. The first thing an employer will see is your profile picture. Make a good impression and choose a professional picture with a simple background that isn’t too distracting.

Always keep your job search status updated. For example, are you looking for a part-time or full-time role, Lead Teacher or Teaching Assistant role, or only looking in a specific borough? Additionally, once you have found a job, be sure to update your job search status.

You also want to have a short but concise About Me section. In your description, include why you want to work with young learners, past successes working with children, and experience working in different childcare settings.

Experience and education is the key to finding the perfect job. You should include your current job or the degree that you are currently working towards, if applicable. Remember to include all relevant experience working with children, whether it’s fieldwork, student teaching, internships, or babysitting experience.

Next, include all training, certifications, and licenses you’ve received or are working towards. This includes Teaching Licenses (P-2, N-6, B-2, etc), Child Abuse and Maltreatment, First Aid & CPR, and more.
